What a year it has been for you and me

We started with dreams of what we wanted it to be.

We promised we would live life, each day new.

We wanted memories, fun, and to make our dreams come true.

We knew a big change was ahead, wondering what it would be.

We were ready, to start a new adventure and we couldn’t wait to see.

The one thing we knew that whatever was ahead.

We would face it together, with love and not dread.

Our life changed in March, a new chapter in our tale.

Village life, a new home, how could we possible fail

We made the move, packed, and the flat was all done.

Settled into the new place and faced everything as one.

It feels like it’s been forever, and it’s been like a dream.

We love our new life, the village, the social scene.

I feel closer to you now then I have ever been.

You are my love, my rock, even when I am mean.

It’s tough to express what you mean to me, my babe.

That’s cos it’s so deep, real, and you really are my fave.

We talk, laugh, and share all, every day.

You are my best mate; my lover and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

So, Christine, I want to thank you for who and what you are.

The way you look after me, my favourite person by far.

As we move forward with a new year to start
